What is contract to hire?.

Sometimes companies are looking to hire someone on full time but don't want to commit to paying an agency fee or want to "try before you buy" with this model it allows the company to try an individual out without having the overhead of onboarding, benefits, training and much more. The Recruiting Agency will typically put this candidate on their own payroll for about 6 - 12 months.

Whats project based contractors and how do they differ from Contract to hire?

Project based contractors, are used specifically for company projects, whether its a new software being developed, a new technology, or implementing new tech into the company. Those projects require a ton of specialized knowledge and people to come in and hit the ground running with little to no training. They are typically kept on assignment for 12 months but in some cases for years.
